The Department of Romance Languages
offers students a working command of the French language (reading,
writing, speaking, and comprehension), as well as an introduction
to French and Francophone literatures and cultures. To experience
the culture and language of France and the Francophone world, students
can participate in a wide choice of study abroad programs, internships,
including the UNC
study abroad program in Montpellier.
Our graduates consider careers in education,
international business and law, journalism, publishing, social work,
and health.
