2009 John K. Walsh Award for best article in MEM Spanish

Professor Frank Domínguez has received the 2009 John K. Walsh Award for his article “Santilario/St. Hilarion: Stanza 28 of Carajicomedia and its Gloss,” which appeared in La Coróncia (37.1 [2008]: 301-37). The award is given annually to the author of an outstanding article in medieval and early modern literature selected by the Executive Committee of the Modern Language Association's Division on Medieval Hispanic Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. The award honors the memory of John K. Walsh (1939-1990), a distinguished medievalist. The tribute is celebrated every year with a reception at the Modern Language Association Convention.
